Theater Five, a radio series whose title was derived from the fact that it was aired everyday at 5pm, was a 20-minute drama anthology based on short stories or stories from daily newspaper. Heard on-air in the 1960s, it was ABC’s attempt to revive radio drama, so everything in the show was top notch– the production, director, sound effects, voice talents, etc. The show had Fred Foy as its host.
