Jack “Flashgun” Casey, was a crime photographer for the newspaper The Morning Express, and was the creation of novelist George Harmon Coxe. The radio program ran from the 1930s to the 1960s and was known by a variety of different names: Crime Photographer, Flashgun Casey, Casey, Press Photographer. With the help of reporter Ann Williams, Casey solved crimes and recounted his stories to Ethelbert the bartender and other friends at the Blue Note jazz club.
