Presented by the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement to help the humanitarian work of St. Christopher’s Inn, the Ave Maria Hour first aired on April 26, 1935, on radio station WOR. The program continued to air until 1969, and was heard on more than 350 stations, including the Armed Forces Radio Service. The show presents dramatizations of the lives of the saints, stories from the Gospel, and inspiring accounts of faith.
